May 1st, 1994

We held our first service at the White Haven Center with four households attending. Later, in June of that year, services moved to the Altamont building, and in August we had our first baptisms.

April 1995

We became a Mission Church, and in May we had our first observation of the Lord’s Table.

September 1995

We moved to our current building at Roosevelt and 19th Streets. And then the church began to grow but not without growing pains.

1999

Mark England was called as pulpit supply and stayed for two years. Pastor England is now serving the San Diego RP Church.

2007-2009

Chris Bogosh briefly pastored from 2007 until 2008. The Hazleton flock once again sought God’s leading in supplying a shepherd. Pastor Paul Brace was chosen and he and his family arrived in 2009. He was installed on May 2nd.

2015-2016

The Lord blessed in mighty ways, and through multiple channels, the congregation greatly expanded in 2015. By the end of 2016, the congregation had 43 communicant members, 32 baptized members, and 4 adherents. Average Sunday morning attendance was 65.

2017

We were blessed by God with new opportunities in Harrisburg, PA.   We started in the spring with Psalm-sings to see the level of interest in an RPCNA church plant in Harrisburg. We are currently meeting the 1st Sunday evening each month at the Progress Church of God, 3424 Old Orchard Drive Harrisburg, PA 17109 (in the basement)

Second, we met with a Spanish-speaking Church in Harrisburg.  The pastor came to our Atlantic Presbytery in the fall, and our preachers have occasionally preached through a translator to this Spanish-speaking group. We also raised money for hurricane relief to be sent to Puerto Rico.

God is good and He blesses us far beyond what we deserve or even imagine.
